Local country artist Nicole Knox Murphy Debut 2013 release Full Circle was very successful on the local and national level. She, along with guitarist/producer Webb, recorded ten songs for her Full Circle debut. Some of those songs were written years ago when Knox Murphy was young and still playing in her father’s country band, making that album a real full circle of Nicole’s musical career.
Right after its 2013 debut, Knox Murphy was awarded Songwriter of The Year for her song “You Make Leaving Look Easy”, Female Entertainer Of The Year and Female Vocalist Of The Year at the 2013 Northeast invitational Country Showdown. It didn’t stop there.
In 2014 Knox Murphy received two more awards from the New Hampshire Country Music Awards.
With “Full Circle” blowing up on the local level. Nicole turned her focus to Nashville and the national level by competing at the 2015 North American Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
She walked away with the 2015 NACMA Horizon Award for Country Album Of The Year and Songwriter Of The Year for her song “Love While You Still Can.”
Knox Murphy’s tremendous voice and songwriting ability are proof there is still room in a more modern pop sounding country scene for a country girl who shoots from the heart. She writes, records, plays and co-produces her own music.
Nicole Knox Murphy can be found playing over a hundred shows a year at bars, clubs, fairs and festivals throughout her native New England. Her set also includes timeless country classics as well as some rock and roll cover songs.
