Danielle Miraglia rises to new artistic heights on Glory Junkies CD
It’s amazing the artistic heights Danielle Miraglia has reached since she entered the greater-Boston singer-songwriter scene back around the year 2000. Her latest CD, Glory Junkies, is certainly her most self-aware CD. She sounds emboldened by her past successes in the recording studio, having a stronger than ever command of all the elements she has always relied on, rock and roll, blues, gospel, worldly lyrics, and her innate singer-songwriter sensibilities.
20th North River Blues Festival at Marshfield Fair offered great time, great music
Day two of the 2oth anniversary of the North River Blues Festival at Marshfield Fair was a huge success. Attendance was fairly brisk in the beginning and it continued to pick up as the day went on. Several blues fans were present by the time the national acts performed. Hosted by Peter Black, blues DJ at WATD’s Wide World Of Blues, every act was smoothly introduced. Black’s booming voice could be appreciated for its clarity during many of his announcements, especially as he kept asking the bands to play one more song, which went over well the North River Blues audience.

Adam Ezra Group and their friends brought good vibe to Ramble 6
Paying it forward seems to be the theme of the millennial generation. The Sixth Annual Ramble came to Salisbury Beach last Saturday afternoon and evening and, hosted by the Adam Ezra, raised money to go towards building a handicap accessible home for a veteran. Aside from the good cause, great feeling vibe, it was also a day of an amazing variety of music coming from the bands that played the 12 hour long event.
Hot Like Fire prove their worth with Forward CD
Hot Like Fire have been an in demand act for sometime now. Their latest CD Forward shows why this band has become one of our area’s most popular reggae bands. It is loaded with high energy reggae music with a bit of a rock edge. Toss in the witty lyrical observations of band leader Kelley Bolduc and you have one dynamite CD.
Green Harbor Roots Festival at Marshfield Fair offered musical experience, fun
The 19th annual Green Harbor Roots Festival showcased some of the best and most rockin’ roots music around. Cloudy and overcast but never rainy, the event took place in cool, comfortable weather, and the turnout over the course of the eight hour event topped three hundred. And that’s not bad for a roots festival that some may have thought was going to get rained out.
Greedy Geezer outdoor Garage Nite fun, fun, fun
I stopped by the tail end of Greedy Geezer’s annual Geezer’s Garage Nite Cook out last Saturday night. This is the Geezer’s summer time outdoors version of the Greedy Geezer’s Garage Night jam session he holds every other Saturday night at the Granite Rail Tavern in Quincy, Massachusetts. Either version of Garage night is basically […]

Adam Ezra Group brings Ramble back to Salisbury Beach August 29; supporting homeless veterans
Perhaps you’ve heard of The Ramble but you were never sure what it was. Perhaps you’ve heard of the Adam Ezra Group but never got around to checking out their music or their neo hippie cool vibe and humanitarian impulses. The Ramble is a special concert thrown each year by the Adam Ezra Group to […]
Jacob Anthony Butler has More To Offer on his latest CD
Jacob Anthony Butler achieves on his latest More To Offer CD an emotional honesty within a warm, pristine sound. He milks each vocal note in his singer-songwriter approach as each of his support players do so on their instruments. Good to the last drop might be a way to describe it. This is just one of those albums that sound so good you want to savor every note, especially if you’re going through the same experiences as the songwriter was while he was writing each of these songs.
