It was recently announced that Blue Ocean Music Hall will be the site of the next New England Music Awards. The award ceremony will take place April 9, 2016.
Mike Flynn, emcee of the Ramble Six event last Saturday at Salisbury beach, made the announcement one hour before Ramble hosts Adam Ezra Group took the stage. Flynn is also Director of Marketing and Public Relations for NEMA.
BillCopelandMusicNews.com interviewed NEMA president Joe Graham about the announcement:
“One hour before Adam Ezra Group took the stage, Mike and I were inside the Blue Ocean closing the deal,” Graham said. “The parking in April at Salsibury Beach is free. We choose the site for a handful of reason. Showcase Live last year was a 600 capacity advance sellout. Blue Ocean is 750 capacity and keeps the event in central New England, hopefully making travel time easier for those attending out of state, and, last but not least, Blue Ocean is flat out a beautiful venue.”
