BillCopelandMusicNews.com is passing this information onto you from the great Marshfield Fair blues festivals organizer and Rhythm Room Records guru John Hall:
Dear friends & neighbors,
I would like to announce that Sunday March 22 is going to be Brant Rock Day, with 3 restaurants, The Venus II, the Jetty, and Haddads Ocean Café, partaking in the Brant Rock Blizzard Benefit. The benefit will run from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
$20 will get you a wristband to get into all three restaurants. Music, food, raffles and local celebrities and perhaps so not so local celebrities will be the order of the day.
“Come one Come all,” Hall wrote.
Jim Cantwell will be the Master of Ceremonies at the event.
Some of the areas most talented musicians will be performing on March 22 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the 2015 Blizzard Benefit.
Sam Gentile, the South Shore’s amazing guitar player and vocalist.
Anthony Geraci, piano player for the world renowned Sugar Ray & the Bluetones.
Tim Gartland, talented harp player/vocalist and leader of his own band.
The Eastwoods, a great south shore band, will be performing at Haddad’s Ocean Cafe.
The Venus II, The Jetty, and Haddad’s Ocean Cafe will be selling wristbands for $20,which will allow admission to all three restaurants.
We are asking for raffle donations for this worthwhile benefit. Any raffle donation can be left off at any of the three restaurants.
At a meeting, discussing how to dispense the donations, it was decided to donate all funds raised to the Good Neighbor Fund sponsored by the Congregational Church in the Center of Town.
The recent storm has been focused on the damage in the Brant Rock area. This fundraiser is to help any Marshfield resident who has had significant losses of personal property. If anyone is in need, please contact the Congregational Church Good Neighbor Fund.
We would like to thank Gil Correia and Mission of Blues for volunteering their time and talent on Sunday March 22. Correia will be performing with Scott Bronnes and Steve Todesco from the band Mission Of Blues.
Also, the great civic organization, Kiwanis Marshfield, has agreed to gather raffle prizes, organize and run the raffles at Haddad’s Ocean Cafe.
Invite your friends to the 2015 Blizzard Benefit.
