The Aldous Collins Band has been on the music scene for several years now. First, Aldous Collins was a singer-songwriter who had to work hard to get his music heard. Numerous solo gigs forced Collins to step up his game. A lot of people in his greater-Manchester community were liking his material and they told him he needed to put a band behind him. Hence, the Aldous Collins Band was born, That was six years ago. Now, Collins and his band are proud winners of Best In State–New Hampshire award from the New England Music Awards.

Dave Glannon has been a fixture on the greater-Manchester, New Hampshire scene for about ten years now. Glannon began his career, in earnest, playing in the Kantu Blues Band at KC’s Rib Shack in Manchester. He said he wasn’t that good at the time, but that Kantu jam host Jerry Paquette saw something in him and told him to keep coming down to his Tuesday night jam.

Deja Voodoo came to Weare, New Hampshire last night and played their special blend of 90s rock, power trio style. There is nothing like three tight players pumping out an endless salvo of driving music. This Manchester-based trio kept their sound compact, accessible, and chunky. Even when they slowed things down a bit, you could still feel their electrical charge. Their performance marked the final evening of farewell celebrations for owner MaryEllen Robinson-Montplaisir who is relocating to Maine to complete her dream of living in her childhood hometown.
